About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Coordinator to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization. This position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping and financial report preparation.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience in an accounting role, with a focus on financial report writing and analysis.
Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles and practices.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage or similar platforms.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
Strong analytical skills with experience in payroll processing preferred.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes within the organization.
Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
Perform double entry bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
Interpret financial reports to provide insights on company performance to management.
Utilize accounting software such as Sage for efficient data management and reporting.
Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for financial reporting and analysis.
Support private equity transactions by preparing relevant documentation and reports as needed.
