About the Role Reporting directly to the CFO, the Bookkeeper will oversee the company’s day-to-day accounting processes, including reconciliations, payroll processing, financial reporting support, and maintaining organized and accurate financial records. This role plays a key part in ensuring financial clarity and operational efficiency across the organization.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QuickBooks certification or equivalent experience required)
  • Strong experience with financial reconciliation and financial reporting
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Proficiency with technology, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in service, construction, or landscaping industries preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements to ensure financial accuracy
  • Process payroll and maintain payroll records to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to support leadership decision-making
  • Maintain and organize financial records in compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Generate invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Handle month-end reconciliations and close processes
  • Communicate with and assist field managers on financial and budget matters
  • Work closely with leadership to improve financial processes and increase efficiency
