About The Position
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Co-op student to join our team. This position offers hands-on experience in audit and assurance engagements across various industries. You’ll work closely with senior team members to support client engagements and develop key technical and professional skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role is specifically available for UVM GSB students.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a Bachelor of Accounting program (3rd or 4th year preferred)
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals (ASPE/IFRS and audit/tax concepts)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
Nice To Haves
- Intention to pursue CPA designation is a strong asset
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in a variety of industries
- Prepare working papers and document audit and assurance procedures in accordance with firm standards
- Perform account reconciliations and analytical procedures
- Conduct research on accounting and tax issues and assist in drafting client correspondence
- Participate in client meetings and site visits, as needed
- Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation
- Collaborate with team members to meet engagement deadlines and deliver high-quality work
