About The Position

Atlantic Emergency Solutions has an immediate full-time opening for an Accounting Clerk in our McConnelsville, Ohio corporate office. Qualified candidates will be required to perform a wide variety of entry-level accounting tasks. This role includes sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and kneeling. Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strive for accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient with basic computer programs including Microsoft Office, databases, and accounting software
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with and demonstrate comfortability with all bookkeeping and accounting practices and procedure
  • Must have an aptitude for numbers
  • Well organized
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years’ related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or relevant certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts receivable transactions
  • Accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements promptly and accurately
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely payments
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices and payment status
  • Manage invoice submission and maintenance for customer payment portals
  • Data Entry
  • Reporting
  • Bookkeeping
  • Resolution of discrepancies related to any of the tasks he or she performs
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Provide assistance to and support for team members
  • Assist with ensuring the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively
