About The Position

85°C Bakery Cafe retail bakery and cafe chain that operates more than 60 locations in the United States across five states and has more than 1000 locations worldwide. We sell bread, coffee, tea, cake, pastries, and other desserts. Accounts Payable Clerk We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team at 85C Bakery Cafe! This role is responsible for end-to-end AP processing while supporting inventory reconciliation and month-end close activities in a fast-paced retail environment. You will be reporting to our retail accounting manager. This position requires strong attention to detail, ownership of the AP cycle, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies independently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 0–1 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
• Experience working in high-volume environments (retail, restaurant, or multi-location preferred)
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP experience a plus)
• Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables preferred)
• Working knowledge of GAAP principles
• High attention to detail with strong accuracy
• Ability to prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies independently
• Clear and professional communication with vendors and internal teams
• Team-oriented with a proactive, ownership mindset

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and process high-volume vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness
• Perform 3-way matching (invoice, PO, receipt) and ensure proper approvals in accordance with company policies
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, including pricing, quantity, and vendor issues
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Process rent, utilities, and recurring expenses for our retail locations
• Maintain vendor master data and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Perform monthly inventory audits, where you will be traveling to our retail locations and verifying inventory.
• Support month-end close, including AP accruals, reconciliations, and reporting
