About The Position

The Accounting Clerk supports daily accounting activities, including report preparation, reconciliations, and spreadsheet-based calculations. Position includes a high volume of transaction verification and basic financial reporting under the director of finance. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who works well independently and collaboratively. Candidate must be able to work a hybrid schedule Monday thru Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Required understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting or related office experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (formulas, data analysis, and reporting)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with accounting or ERP systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support daily accounting operations with a focus on reporting, reconciliations, and data integrity
  • Prepare and reconcile financial reports, including vendor promotional partnership reporting
  • Review and verify financial transactions for accuracy and completeness
  • Develop and maintain moderately complex spreadsheet calculations and financial tracking tools
  • Communicate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve discrepancies (phone call, email, and/or in person)
  • Maintain and organize a physical and digital filing system of financial records and documentation
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the Finance function and its interdependencies with other departments, recognizing the broader operational and financial impact of their role
  • Assist with special projects and other tasks as assigned by the Director of Finance or President
