About The Position

The Exterior Company is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our Finance team. This part-time position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, staying organized, and supporting accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a flexible part-time schedule, allowing employees to work approximately 20-30 hours per week within our business hours of 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Weekly hours may be completed over fewer days, providing flexibility for the right candidate.

Requirements

  • Previous accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or finance support experience preferred
  • Understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable invoices and verify supporting documentation
  • Review and reconcile company credit card transactions
  • Upload and code supplier invoices
  • Receive and process customer payments, including remote check deposits
  • Process ACH and credit card payments
  • Maintain subcontractor insurance compliance records
  • Assist with payroll-related administrative functions
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate financial records
  • Support the Finance Department with additional accounting-related projects as needed
