We're currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Part-Time Accounting Clerk to support our accounting operations. The Part-Time Accounting Clerk will perform a variety of accounting and administrative duties to support our business office. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Requirements
- Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Nice To Haves
- Automotive dealership experience is a plus
- Accounting software (Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Dealertrack, or similar preferred)
- Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Process and post accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Reconcile daily cash, checks, and credit card payments
- Assist with month-end closing and journal entries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies
- Provide administrative support to the Controller and the office team
