As an Accounting Clerk, you will help our dealership network by obtaining, entering, and maintaining financial data and accounting records by performing your duties in accordance with company policy and procedures.

Requirements

  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and computer skills relevant to an accounting clerk position.
  • At least one year of recent applicable experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to meet the company's production and quality standards.

  • Two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Obtaining, entering, and maintaining financial data and accounting records in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Compile and sort documents substantiating business transactions.
  • Prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records quickly and accurately.
  • Understand and comply with all regulations that affect the accounting department.
  • Perform tasks accurately, fairly, and in accordance with local, state, and federal statutes, as well as company policies.
