About The Position

The Part-Time HOA Accountant at Deer Valley Resort assists with accounting and reporting duties for Homeowners Associations under Lodging Management. The role maintains accurate financial records, prepares financial reports, and helps ensure compliance with relevant regulations. The position requires attention to detail and collaboration with other departments and homeowners. It is part-time and year-round.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Bill.com.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Accounting experience in public accounting, an HOA, or property management.
• Treasury experience with banks.
• CPA or CMA certification.

Responsibilities

• Record financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries for assigned HOAs.
• Assist with preparing and monitoring annual budgets in alignment with HOA financial goals.
• Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for HOA boards and management.
• Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Assist with collecting HOA dues and assessments, including following up on delinquent accounts.
• Provide clear and accurate financial information to homeowners, board members, and management.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of HOA financial operations.
