Accounting Clerk / Staff Accountant / Accountant (Term)

Agada Biosciences IncHalifax, NS

About The Position

AGADA is a contract research organization (CRO) supporting pharmaceutical companies in developing new therapies, particularly for rare diseases. They specialize in highly technical and specialized areas of research, working with clients globally to advance drug development from early preclinical studies through to clinical trials. Behind this work is a strong operational and financial foundation, and their accounting team plays a key role in enabling research programs to run efficiently, compliantly, and sustainably. They are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable accounting professional to join their team on a term position ending February 29, 2028, to support a leave of absence. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full accounting cycle within a single organization, rather than working across multiple external clients. The successful candidate will work closely with and be mentored by a Senior Accountant, gaining exposure well beyond a traditional accounting clerk role. Depending on experience, this position may be scoped at the Accounting Clerk, Staff Accountant, or Accountant level. There may be an opportunity to extend the term or transition to a permanent role based on company growth.
