About The Position

Clear Lake Bank & Trust Company is hiring an Accounting and Audit Specialist. Candidates must possess a high level of personal accountability and attention to detail, are self-motivated, and able to work under stress of deadlines and changing priorities while maintaining composure. Clear Lake Bank & Trust Company is an independent community bank in Clear Lake, Iowa with an office in Garner, Iowa and two offices in Mason City, Iowa. Our Business Banking Department is regarded as knowledgeable, resourceful and professional throughout the North Iowa area. The Accounting and Audit Specialist is principally responsible for supporting the Accounting and Finance Team with accounts payable, financial reporting, and the internal audit functions of the bank.

Requirements

• Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or comparable area.
• Requires the ability to plan prioritize work; perform multiple functions simultaneously and work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are required
• Proficient in PC usage and standard office applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook)

Nice To Haves

• Previous accounting or finance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily journal entries and bank correspondent reconciliations.
• Manages and performs the accounts payable process.
• Performance of internal audit functions.
• Performs reconciliations for general ledger and internal accounts.
• Tracks and records fixed assets, accruals, and prepaids within the accounting solution.
• Completes monthly update process within the financial performance suite.
