About The Position

This role involves leading and conducting cost report/DSH audits and performing final audit reviews of Medicaid cost reports and DSH surveys. The position requires analyzing financial information, performing reimbursement calculations, and preparing written documents to support professional decisions. The Senior Manager will provide strong leadership on audit engagements, effectively supervising staff to ensure quality deliverables within deadlines. Responsibilities include assisting in completing project deliverables, managing the flow of audits, and performing quality assurance reviews on working papers and reports. The role also involves scheduling audit dates, performing final review of fieldwork, and coordinating staffing to meet deadlines. Additionally, the position requires providing high-level technical knowledge and training, mentoring staff, and maintaining the security and confidentiality of protected health information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
  • At least 8 years of related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Must have experience leading audit engagements.
  • Demonstrated high level of expertise with Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to learn a significant amount of information in a short time-frame.
  • Effectively manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments.
  • Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
