About The Position

HW Partners is seeking a dynamic Manager to guide their talented team, deliver exceptional client service, and help shape the future of their growing firm. This leadership opportunity involves managing multiple client engagements and playing a key role in firm-wide initiatives.

Requirements

  • CPA designation (or equivalent).
  • Minimum four years’ experience in public practice, with at least one year in a leadership role.
  • Advanced knowledge of compilation, review, and engagements, as well as corporate and personal tax.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with superior organizational skills.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in client management, team leadership, and file documentation.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage multiple assurance and non-assurance engagements, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Lead pre-engagement planning, scope and assign work, and maintain firm quality assurance standards.
  • Apply technical expertise to provide insightful recommendations and solutions for clients.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for added value and new business.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, fostering a culture of learning and high performance.
  • Participate in firm management, policy development, and professional standards committees.
  • Deliver presentations and training, sharing your expertise internally and externally.
  • Contribute to recruitment and performance evaluations, helping select and grow top talent.
