About The Position

GovCIO is currently hiring for an Accounting Associate II to process and reconcile subcontractor labor transactions, and support contract and labor accounting operations. This position will be fully remote within the United States. The SKMM Team Member supports daily program and operational activities by coordinating administrative, financial, and project-related tasks in a fast-paced team environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate records, tracking deliverables, supporting subcontractor and labor management processes, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and customer requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities may include reviewing and processing documentation, supporting onboarding and staffing activities, monitoring task status and deadlines, assisting with invoicing and labor tracking, maintaining databases and spreadsheets, and communicating with internal stakeholders and subcontractors to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of assignments. This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with Deltek/Costpoint, Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel), and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. Experience supporting government contracting, finance, operations, or program management functions is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of experience (or commensurate experience).
  • Demonstrated experience using Deltek Costpoint.
  • Knowledge of subcontractor management, vendor and employee setup, work assignments, timekeeping, timesheet corrections, voucher processing, labor reporting, and related financial processes.
  • Experience working in a government contracting environment.
  • Understanding of contract structures.
  • Knowledge of task orders and their requirements.
  • Familiarity with labor categories and rate structures.
  • Awareness of periods of performance and funding processes.
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of audit considerations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
