About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, and experience with QuickBooks. Experience working in a legal environment is preferred but not required.

Requirements

  • Experience with QuickBooks is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Accounting or bookkeeping experience is preferred.
  • Law firm experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting entries.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Reconcile operating and trust bank accounts.
  • Prepare client billing, invoices, and payment postings.
  • Monitor retainers, expenses, and collections.
  • Track case-related costs and expenses.
  • Maintain organized accounting and client financial records.
  • Provide accounting support to staff.
