Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A willingness to learn and grow within an accounting environment
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Previous accounting, administration, or office experience is considered an asset, but not required
  • Post secondary education in accounting, business, or finance is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Processing vendor invoices and employee expense submissions
  • Reconciling vendor statements and open credits
  • Preparing cheques and EFTs for approval and submission
  • Recording monthly journal entries using templates
  • Completing VISA reconciliations
  • Managing Telus and Eastlink billing processes
  • Preparing cheque bank deposits
  • Performing bank reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly bank transfer files for management fees, rent, interest, CCC, and VISA payments
  • Reconciling lot supplies accounts
  • Preparing external invoices, including tenant invoicing
  • Preparing and issuing internal invoices on both monthly and yearly schedules
  • Supporting related party group reconciliations
  • Assisting with special projects and training initiatives
  • Providing support during audit processes
