About The Position

Bend Golf Club (BGC) is a private, member-owned Club located in Bend, Oregon. The club is minutes away from the city center and the area’s plentiful recreational opportunities. The Accounting Assistant obtains revenue and pays invoices by verifying and completing payable and receivable transactions.

Bachelor's or Associates degree in accounting, finance, or related field a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
Obtains revenue and expense by verifying and reconciling daily transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices.
Collects revenue by posting payments, reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments.
Prepares various financial reports and summarizing account information and trends, as needed.
Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
Respond to members’ billing questions.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
