About The Position

AIMCo's Real Estate Accounting team is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to process and reconcile real estate investment transactions accurately and on time, while ensuring internal controls are in place. This role is a Fixed Term position ending June 30, 2027. Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance is required.
  • 3+ years of accounting or financial analysis experience.
  • Excellent Microsoft skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage conflicting deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Progress toward a professional accounting designation is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Record and process real estate investment transactions, including capital calls, distributions, income, and expenses, in SimCorp Dimension (SCD), eFront, Aladdin, and Yardi Voyager, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
  • Coordinate new investment setup in SCD, eFront, and Aladdin with internal and external parties, ensuring the required information is complete and accurate.
  • Update and validate quarterly market values for fund investments.
  • Perform daily and monthly cash reconciliations and investigate variances.
  • Prepare various reconciliations and reports.
  • Provide the necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Provide vacation coverage for the Accounts Payable Analyst.
