About The Position

The Accounting Analyst plays a key role in month-end close activities, data analysis, and financial reconciliations across multiple ERP systems. This position focuses on ensuring accuracy and consistency of transactional data and general ledger balances, preparing management reports, and supporting special projects that enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Strong general ledger accounting knowledge and experience with journal entries and month-end close processes.
  • Hands-on experience with reconciliations, including working with large data sets and multiple ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify variances and trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on intermediate Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
  • Ability to perform detailed data analysis and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred; a degree in finance from a recognized institution will also be considered.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot financial and data-related issues.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all work products.

Nice To Haves

  • Up to 4+ years of relevant business experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of IFRS and US GAAP rules is an asset.
  • Experience with SAP and Peoplesoft is desired.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools is beneficial.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a mature, professional attitude.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks and work effectively with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build collaborative relationships.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings and reports clearly to management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries in SAP and Peoplesoft.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis and perform reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy between ERP systems.
  • Process, reconcile, and validate transactional data, general ledger balances, and data mappings across multiple ERP platforms.
  • Prepare and deliver competitive allowance reports for management on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Support management with assigned specialty projects and ad-hoc initiatives, providing timely and accurate financial insights.
  • Participate in the Book of Record project, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment of financial data across systems.
  • Contribute to special projects that improve financial processes and controls, and perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot data and reconciliation issues and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain high standards of documentation and audit trail for journal entries, reconciliations, and reports.
