This role combines accounting responsibilities with operational analysis, including inventory, leases, fixed assets, cost tracking, accruals, and compliance.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of general accounting and financial reporting principles
  • Knowledge of inventory accounting, fixed assets, lease accounting, and internal controls
  • Understanding of audit processes and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and explain accounting data
  • Knowledge of GAAP lease accounting standards (ASC 842)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–5 years of accounting or finance experience (warehouse, logistics, fixed assets, cost accounting, or audit preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain lease accounting records, including lease setup, contractual updates, document retention, and reconciliation between lease management software and the general ledger
  • Ensure lease records are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with contractual terms and applicable lease accounting requirements
  • Maintain fixed asset records for warehouse and facility equipment, including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation tracking, and supporting documentation
  • Track construction-in-progress and capital project costs, review expenditures for appropriate capitalization, and support timely project closeout and fixed asset setup
  • Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting schedules
  • Prepare cash flow analysis and projections to support operational and financial planning
  • Analyze operational costs, inventory activity, equipment costs, and warehouse-related expenses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improved visibility or control
  • Partner with finance and operations teams to resolve data discrepancies, improve reporting accuracy, and strengthen accounting visibility into operational activity
  • Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules, maintaining documentation, and ensuring adherence to internal controls and accounting policies
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve data accuracy, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting efficiency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
