About The Position

Reporting to the Payment Methods Reconciliation Accounting Supervisor, within the operational accounting team, the Reconciliation Accounting Analyst will provide accounting support services to the stores under their responsibility.

Requirements

• BAC in Accounting
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience
• Good knowledge of Excel;
• Ability to manage multiple files;
• Be meticulous, independent, show initiative, and have good analytical skills;
• Know how to manage priorities while meeting deadlines;
• Interpersonal skills;
• Customer service skills;
• Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of PDI software will be considered an asset;
• Knowledge of the ReconNet application will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile, for each financial period, the general ledger accounts related to the payment methods accepted in store; Cash deposits Debit/credit cards Gas station debit/credit cards Gas station promotions and discount coupons; Prepaid cards and gift cards;
• Record entries for payment discrepancies (shortfalls and surpluses);
• Responsible for explaining and justifying payment discrepancies.
• Responsible for taking steps to recover amounts not received.
• Record entries for bank deposits, bank fees, card fees, equipment fees, and chargeback charges.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of processes used in the position.
• Provide support to the store operations team and the accounting team.
