The Intercompany Accounting Analyst role, reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager within the Corporate Finance team, is responsible for accounting for intercompany transactions in Canada.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of the entire accounting cycle
• Commitment to excellence, autonomy, and initiative
• Ability to manage priorities while meeting deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work well in a team and strong communication skills
• Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written, as the person will be required to work and communicate regularly in English while performing the tasks outlined above. Specifically, the role requires collaboration with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare periodic entries (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
• Perform balance sheet account analyses and monitor variances
• Identify and analyze intercompany variances, then make the appropriate adjustments
• Prepare periodic summaries for different currencies
• Reassess intercompany balances in a multi-currency environment
• Make GST and QST remittances
• Perform bank reconciliations in CAD and foreign currencies
• Participate in the preparation of various end-of-period, end-of-quarter, and end-of-year documents for analysis purposes
• Prepare statutory financial statements
• Participate in the continuous improvement of tools and procedures related to the position
• Participate in various special projects
• Perform any other related tasks
