As an Accounting Analyst II, you will play a crucial role in supporting accounting functions within our organization. Your responsibilities will include compiling and interpreting financial information to support management decision-making, while identifying opportunities to optimize business processes through technology and automation to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related major with a strong accounting focus
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in the energy industry
  • Demonstrated desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility
  • Prior experience with Oracle ERP or similar applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Promotes effective cross-functional communication and collaboration within the team and across departments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial skills
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with safety as the utmost priority

Responsibilities

  • Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting and variance analysis
  • Prepares, maintains, and develops schedules, reports, and analyses to support management decision-making and internal/external customers
  • Processes and analyzes significant amounts of data while identifying opportunities for process improvement with a focus on efficiency and automation
  • Provides requested documentation and clear explanations for both internal and external audit processes
  • Participates as a project team member and a resource for colleagues with less experience
  • Other duties as assigned
