About The Position

Almost Family is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Administrator to support our financial and administrative operations. This role is essential to ensuring accurate payroll processing, timely billing, efficient accounts payable management, and smooth day-to-day financial workflows. The ideal candidate is dependable, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. As an integral member of our administrative team, the Accounting Administrator will handle core accounting tasks, assist with benefit enrollment and eligibility verification, and provide general office support. This position plays a direct role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting our ability to deliver reliable, compassionate care to clients in Oregon, Colorado, and California.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in accounting, payroll, or a related financial role.
  • Experience in the in-home care, healthcare, or service-based industry preferred.
  • Proficiency with accounting software; QuickBooks Enterprise highly preferred .
  • Strong skills in MS Office or Google Workspace applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • This is an onsite position based in Bend, OR.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the in-home care, healthcare, or service-based industry preferred.
  • Proficiency with accounting software; QuickBooks Enterprise highly preferred .

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing: Prepare, review, and process payroll accurately and on schedule, ensuring compliance with company policies and wage regulations.
  • Billing Processing: Support timely and accurate billing functions, including record maintenance and coordination with internal teams.
  • Financial Support: Assist with general financial tasks, reconciliations, reporting, and maintaining organized financial documentation.
  • Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, maintain AP records, and support timely payment workflows.
  • Benefits Administration: Support employee benefit enrollment, eligibility verification, and qualification tracking in coordination with HR.
  • General Office Support: Assist with answering phones and providing administrative support as needed.
  • Additional Duties: Complete administrative, accounting, or operational tasks as assigned by supervisor or management.
