Accounting Adjunct Instructor

About The Position

This is a part-time position under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Business Sciences. The instructor will perform all aspects of instruction for the Accounting program, providing the necessary training to develop and sustain the program, preparing students with employable skills for business and industry. Classes are taught on multiple campuses, both day and evening, and online. Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time and appointed on a per academic term basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the term.

Requirements

  • Master’s in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
  • A minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Accounting coursework.
  • Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD and/or CPA
  • Experience with online instruction in a postsecondary setting
  • Experience with Blackboard or other online learning management system
  • Postsecondary teaching experience with computer-assisted instruction
  • Postsecondary teaching experience with instructional technology
  • Postsecondary teaching experience with student advisement/registration
