About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining accounts receivable, processing payroll, and supporting the accounting team with various tasks. The Accountant will also be involved in the month-end close process, financial statement preparation, and process improvement initiatives. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is key to this position.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently in a dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with NetSuite, UKG, or similar accounting and payroll systems.
• Restaurant, retail, hospitality, or multi-unit accounting experience.
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment processing, account reconciliations, and aging reviews.
• Process payroll and ensure accurate accounting of payroll-related transactions.
• Assist with accounts payable when needed.
• Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations to support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Maintain and reconcile bank accounts and other key balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements, operational reports, and ad hoc analysis.
• Monitor accounting processes, investigate discrepancies, and recommend solutions and process improvements.
• Create and maintain accounting procedures and process documentation.
• Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and business partners.
