Base Pay Range: $72,000.00 - $82,000.00/ Year As an Accountant, your essential job functions will include the following:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Two to four (2-4) years in general ledger accounting experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years enterprise-level (ERP) experience.
  • Foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Strong demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proven transactional accounting data flow understanding including order to cash and procure to pay cycles.
  • Strong foundational Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet quality/time commitments, under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with various organizational levels.
  • Proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to create ad hoc reports using Business Intelligence tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly financial close process by:
  • Assure timely/accurate financial statement preparation consistent with U.S GAAP and company policies & procedures.
  • Create/Monitor/Post accruals and journal entries, reconcile accounts and perform ad hoc analysis.
  • Analyze/Perform Inventory reconciliation to sub-ledger detail identifying discrepancies and communicating solutions to the organization.
  • Provide analytical support for the month-end close variance analysis.
  • Collects and analyzes financial information for assigned accounts in order to track the organization’s progress against its financial goals and to assist departments in their financial reporting and analysis.
  • Research/Resolve transaction issues for assigned accounts in a timely manner.
  • Analyzes expenditures, revenue, and depreciation to make recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls.
  • Prepare audit requests and assist auditors with inquiries.
  • Recommend process improvements utilizing best practices for current processes/future opportunities.
  • Frequently manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Participate in/Lead physical inventory audits.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the JDEdwards Fixed Assets module in order to record fixed asset acquisitions/dispositions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional areas to understand which projects are in process/ready for capitalization.
  • Complete monthly account reconciliations to the subsidiary ledger for fixed assets accounts in a timely/accurate manner.
  • Calculate/Record depreciation monthly for all fixed assets.
  • Prepare fixed asset capital expenditures management reporting.
  • Organize/Complete physical inventories of company’s fixed assets in accordance with policies.
  • Stay abreast/Remain compliant with regional/tax laws locating ways to reduce liability.
