About The Position

The Accountant will perform and coordinate accounting duties within the organization. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and carrying out other accounting duties as assigned. The role is based in Santa Clara, California, and is full-time.

Requirements

Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, costing, or finance.
A minimum of three years of accounting experience.
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Strong financial analysis skills.
Strong organizational and stress management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
Ability to train and manage staff.
Ability to work with little to no supervision.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in accounting.
Experience in the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

Coordinate accounting functions and programs.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare financial analyses, statements, and regulatory reporting documents.
Prepare revenue projections and forecast expenditures.
Prepare federal, state, local, and special tax returns.
Manage the general ledger and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
Assist with annual audit preparations.
Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
