Requirements

• 2-5 years of finance support experience
• QuickBooks experience required
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Ability to work in an extremely confidential environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related major preferred or comparable experience
• 1-2 years of Healthcare finance experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with overall financial operations and financial processes, including billing, collections, analysis, and client services.
• Works closely with the Finance Manager to maintain accurate financial records and procedures.
• Primary and/or backup for cash deposit function, including both manual and electronic deposits of cash and checks, for both owned and managed accounts.
• Maintains internal controls for handling cash and checks prior to deposit.
• Primary and/or backup for journal entry uploads, keying, and posting for all general ledger.
• Checks and verifies posting reports to ensure accurate general ledger postings.
• Organizes and files journal entries.
• Makes updates to claims recovery procedures.
• Assists with basic financial accounting and processing of check requests.
• Works with third-party CPAs on annual audits for ACTY clients.
• Prepares and files quarterly financials with the DMHC.
• Reconciles monthly capitation payments received by ACTY clients.
• Works with Health plans to ensure monthly capitation is received for all eligible members.
• Handles special projects as needed.
