About The Position

City Wide Facility Solutions helps businesses maintain clean, well-run facilities so our clients can focus on what they do best. We're growing, and we're looking for a detail-oriented Accountant who takes pride in accurate, timely financial work and wants to build a career with a company that values community, accountability, and professionalism in our corporate office. The Accountant is responsible for recording timely and accurate financial transactions for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Account Reconciliations, and Financial Statements. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys precise, methodical work within established systems and procedures, and who takes satisfaction in getting the details right every time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or actively working toward a CPA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Service-oriented — takes care of internal customers' needs while following company procedures.
  • Detail-oriented — pays close attention to the minute details of a project or task.
  • Accurate — performs work accurately and thoroughly.
  • A proactive problem solver who addresses work-related issues before they escalate.
  • Proficiency in Outlook and Excel, plus experience with automated accounting software; Business Central experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Record, review, and maintain accurate general ledger activity in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and intercompany transactions.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring adherence to close timelines.
  • Assist in preparation of internal financial reporting packages.
  • Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial data.
  • Support audit requests and provide documentation for external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Manage fixed assets and other corporate accounting schedules as applicable.
  • Assist with system enhancements, process improvements, and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability.
