Requirements

Degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1 - 3 years of experience in a General Accounting or similar role.
Experience working with Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to influence decisions and interact with all levels of management.
Ability to produce high quality work-product in a time-sensitive fashion.
Ability to work independently and multi-task.

Responsibilities

Processes and reconciles all vendor related invoices.
Assists in coordinating bi-weekly payment runs.
Responsible for maintaining and updating vendor supply list as needed.
Prepares and maintains month end journal entry checklist.
Prepares and posts month end journal entries.
Assists in development and communication of annual budget and forecast.
Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
Analyze general accounts and identify, recommend or prepare journal entries/accruals as required.
Assists with the annual financial audit as required.
Identifies opportunities to streamline or automate processes to continuously improve service.
Liaison with all BWXT intercompany sites as required.
