About The Position

The Accountant will manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company’s U.S. entity and ensure full compliance with U.S. accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on operational accounting, transaction recording, payroll oversight, tax supervision, and regulatory reporting, while coordinating with external CPAs and tax advisors. This position requires close collaboration with finance, HR, operations, IT, and external service providers to ensure accurate accounting records, strong internal controls, and compliance with U.S. financial and legal obligations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of U.S. accounting or finance experience, including AR/AP, payroll, transaction accounting, and month-end close.
  • Experience coordinating with external accountants, tax advisors, and compliance providers.
  • Knowledge of U.S. tax compliance (corporate, sales, telecommunications, 1099) and FCC reporting requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail, financial accuracy, and ownership of compliance and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple processes, collaborate cross-functionally, and identify and resolve operational bottlenecks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in multinational or technology companies is a plus.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred), Excel, and financial reporting; familiarity with BambooHR, Remote.com, PayPal, and Stripe is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including payment reconciliation, issue resolution, and support for Billing-on-Behalf invoicing and partner onboarding.
  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll through Remote.com, maintain payroll records, and ensure accurate salary and commission data in BambooHR while serving as the main Finance liaison for the EOR.
  • Record and reconcile financial transactions across bank accounts, PayPal, and Stripe in SAP, ensuring proper documentation for expenses, credit cards, and reimbursements.
  • Supervise U.S. tax and regulatory compliance, coordinating with external providers for corporate tax, sales tax, telecommunications tax, and vendor tax reporting (1099), including FCC filings.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes for the U.S. entity and prepare financial data for group consolidation and external audit.
  • Provide financial guidance to employees and contractors on expense reporting, invoicing procedures, and financial policies while supporting HR in onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with IT, Operations, and Management to ensure compliant and efficient billing and invoicing processes, including advising on tax implications and process improvements.
