About The Position

FulcrumAir is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant for a six-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will support the Senior Accountant during the implementation of ERP system and the preparation of annual budget. The role will also help maintain accurate, timely financial operations across reporting, compliance, accounts receivable, accounts payable, tax filings, and account reconciliations. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution within a fast-growing, internationally expanding organization. While the position is fixed term, there may be an opportunity for permanent employment as FulcrumAir continues to grow.

Requirements

  • At least three years of financial accounting experience, including work with GAAP or IFRS and consolidations.
  • University degree in Accounting.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Expensify, Joiin, Odoo or comparable ERP and accounting software.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, careful attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented, adaptable to change, and committed to continuous process improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • A completed or in-progress CPA designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Perform accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and collections.
  • Support the Accounts Payable Supervisor with AP activities, including invoice posting, payment processing, and maintaining adequate bank funding.
  • Prepare and manage GST/VAT and sales tax filings in Canada, Australia, United States & Germany.
  • Support annual budget preparation and conduct variance analysis.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, including capital assets, depreciation, prepayments, and intercompany balances.
  • Help ensure compliance with applicable federal and provincial regulations.
  • Complete ad hoc projects and analysis as assigned by senior management.
