About The Position
Here at Home Healthcare is a locally owned in-home care agency in Chesterfield. We compassionately support clients and their families at home across the St. Louis area, with companionship, personal care, and recovery support. We're looking for a Missouri-based accountant to take over our books on a contract basis. You'll work directly with our owners, and with our General Manager once that role is filled.
Requirements
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting for small businesses
- Strong QuickBooks Online skills
- Payroll experience with Gusto or a similar platform
- Missouri residency
- A clean criminal background (a background check is part of hiring)
Nice To Haves
- Home care or healthcare billing experience
- A CPA or EA credential
- Experience preparing S corporation returns (Form 1120-S)
Responsibilities
- Close our books in QuickBooks Online each month, including bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare a monthly profit and loss statement and walk the owners through it
- Follow up on client invoices and open balances
- Review payroll in Gusto before each twice-monthly run
- Check that our federal and Missouri payroll tax filings are complete and correct
