About The Position

Join our team as an Accountant! We are seeking a full-time dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant for our manufacturing facility located in Delta, BC. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will support the day-to-day financial operations within the manufacturing division of FYihealth Group, including the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close. This is a great opportunity for a driven CPA candidate who loves to learn and wants to grow their career. We are ideally seeking a candidate located in Delta BC, where our Ophthalmic Laboratory is located.

Requirements

  • Completion of a College Diploma and/or University Degree in a related field
  • 1-3 years of general accounting experience, including experience working with and analyzing large data sets
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A self-starter and highly motivated individual with a drive to learn and improve self and processes
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative, adaptable, and proactive team player with a growth mindset, able to manage changing priorities effectively

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ERP systems particularly NetSuite is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism English/French is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and reconcile monthly sales order reports, ensure timely invoicing of shipped orders, and process additional sales discounts
  • Perform month-end accounting procedures, including general ledger account analysis, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting working papers
  • Process full-cycle accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payment processing, bank deposits, and reconciliations
  • Follow-up on outstanding issues and inquiries with clinics, providing guidance and assistance as required
  • Analyze monthly accounts and reconcile to various systems used within the company
  • Prepare, reconcile, and post intercompany transactions, ensuring maintenance and accuracy in pricing
  • Support the development and implementation of inventory counts and procedures
  • Implement and look to continually improve standard operating procedures and processes and assist in creating and improving internal reporting
  • Assist in the completion of special projects and/or ad hoc projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals
