About The Position

The Accountant will perform various financial reporting and analysis activities. This includes the preparation of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and inter-company transactions. The role involves analyzing trends in forecasts and variances to budget, and effectively communicating financial outcomes and results of analysis performed. The Accountant will also participate in process improvement initiatives and other projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of accounting experience required
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and experience in preparation of periodic financial reporting packages
• Proven ability to meet deadlines, detail-orientated
• Strong excel and analytical skills

• Insurance industry experience is not required
