DPR Construction is seeking a qualified candidate for the Accountant position in the Corporate Finance & Accounting Department. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Demonstrates in depth knowledge of accounting principles Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies. Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with established deadlines and accounting policies. Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations Partner with operational teams to understand business activities and ensure proper accounting treatment. Perform special projects, other ad-hoc duties, as needed Additional position requirements include the following: Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 1-3 years’ experience; CPA preferred Intermediate/advanced excel skills Be able to demonstrate strong commitment to confidentiality and handling of sensitive company information Manage key relationships internally to provide different viewpoints for a shared solution Successfully manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, meeting deadlines, and exercising sound judgment with limited oversight Challenge existing practices and proactively recommend innovative solutions that improve both accounting operations and business outcomes. Act as a catalyst for continuous improvement, helping transform accounting from a transaction-processing function into a strategic business partner. Demonstrate strong attention to detail, a process-oriented mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and task execution.
