About The Position

The Accountant role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of their assigned division. This role includes preparing journal entries, maintaining general ledger accuracy, coding invoices, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both the accounts payable sub-ledger and general ledger and will contribute to accurate and timely financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience required; combination of education and accounting experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting roles
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (experience with KOVA or similar systems is a plus)
  • Experience with month-end close processes, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Familiarity with sub-ledgers such as accounts payable and credit card transactions
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with KOVA or similar systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and enter journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
  • Code invoices and expense reimbursements related to your respective division
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Prepare financial statements for Executive team on a monthly basis
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the AP Sub-Ledger and the General Ledger
  • Assist in balance sheet and asset management reconciliations monthly
  • May assist with bank deposits on a weekly basis and maintain in KOVA
  • May facilitate credit card reconciliations
  • All other duties as assigned.
