About The Position

The Accountant manages the organization’s financial records and ensures accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role owns general accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, and supports the full financial cycle through month-end closing. The successful candidate is detail-oriented and collaborates with other departments to streamline financial operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar position, including bank reconciliations and month-end close processes.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP/IFRS.
Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Detail-oriented, with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash records.
Oversee and execute general accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.
Manage and coordinate month-end closing, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Analyze, reconcile, and resolve general ledger discrepancies.
Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and other reports for accuracy and completeness.
Review and process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely manner.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Maintain accurate financial databases and records in compliance with company policies and internal controls.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in implementing best practices.
