About The Position

OB Hospitalist Group (OBHG) is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our Financial Accounting team. In this hybrid role, you'll play a key part in the financial close process, reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities that support the nation's largest dedicated OB/GYN hospitalist organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 2 years of financial accounting experience
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles
  • Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Participating in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
  • Preparing and posting journal entries
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and resolving discrepancies
  • Performing monthly bank reconciliations
  • Reconciling corporate credit card activity
  • Reviewing operating expenses and accounts payable transactions
  • Reviewing employee expense reports for compliance with company policies and IRS regulations
  • Supporting annual financial statement audits by preparing schedules, reports, and documentation
  • Researching and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Responding to accounting-related procedural questions
  • Maintaining strong internal controls and safeguarding financial integrity
  • Supporting additional accounting initiatives and projects as assigned
