About The Position

This position supports the financial success of academic and outreach programs across the College of Education and Human Sciences, serving as a financial partner for Nursing and various special programs. The role oversees budgets, procurement, payroll, travel, financial reporting, and compliance activities. Working with faculty, staff, and program leaders, the Accountant provides financial guidance, manages complex transactions, and helps align resources with program goals. The position is based at OSU-Stillwater and follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekends. It is a regular, continuous appointment until further notice.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, conferred on or before the agreed-upon start date.
• Accountant I: no experience required; Accountant II: two years of related experience; Accountant III: five years of related experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with accounting and budget management principles.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
• Discretion in the routine handling of confidential financial information.
• Knowledge of principles, methods, and practices related to accounting and bookkeeping activities.
