About The Position

Successful candidates must be comfortable working with multiple clients both virtually and on-site, interacting with clients, their staff, Board of Directors, and Finance Committees. This position offers promotion potential to a Controller-level position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of accounting experience required
  • Public accounting, client service, or outsourced accounting experience preferred
  • Strong interest in supporting nonprofit organizations and their missions
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting technology, with the ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple accounting systems
  • QuickBooks experience is a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to travel to client offices as needed
  • Employees are expected to work during normal business hours to best serve our clients

Nice To Haves

  • Nonprofit accounting experience is preferred, but candidates with a strong desire to learn the nonprofit sector are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

  • Weekly and monthly processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
  • Bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly financials and related analysis
  • Grant tracking and monitoring
  • Cash flow projections and monitoring
  • Preparation for outside audits
