Requirements

Reconciles general ledger for balance sheet accounts compared to Merchandise Management System, to include analysis of weighted average cost impact, transaction coding and respective general ledger mapping.
Assists in preparation and delivery of monthly and quarterly reporting of financial information relevant to inventory positions, cost of sales, sales mix and gross margins.
Prepares and analyzes specific retail segments' profit and loss statements to determine segment impacts to overall retail business.
Assists in review and enhancement of operational procedures by identifying financial impacts and/or restrictions.
Ensures general ledger is properly updated to reflect intent of operational procedure.
Participates in Cost of Sales analysis; works with Senior Accountant in analyzing and projecting gross margin and ending inventory positions.
Assists in forecasting obsolescence exposure.
