About The Position

Prepares, analyzes, and reconciles assigned general ledger accounts of an intermediate and advanced nature. The role involves preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, analyzing variances, conducting account audits, reviewing balance sheet accounts, collaborating with other finance and staff, working with third-party vendors, and continuously seeking process improvements. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Accounting, Finance or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years related accounting experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Makes limited decisions and determines best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies. Impact of decisions is moderately low.

Responsibilities

• Prepares journal entries for all accounts in assigned areas; ensures timeliness, accuracy and accuracy of resources used in preparing entry.
• Prepares and reconciles various assigned general ledger accounts; analyzes variances and ensures timeliness and accuracy.
• Conducts assigned account audits.
• Reviews balance sheet accounts in assigned areas; accounts for any irregularities, answers questions, researches issues and communicates any issues to the supervisor.
• Collaborates with other finance and other staff to support overall reporting requirements.
• Works with 3rd party vendors as required.
• Continuously finds ways to strengthen processes to minimize time requirements and enhance procedures in assigned areas.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
