Requirements

  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures affecting maintenance of accounting records.
  • Skill in the use of automated accounting systems.
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals and to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to efficiently process accounting information.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical and functional support to projects/initiatives using comprehensive knowledge of assigned areas. (25%)
  • Communicates on a complex level with others (internally or externally) to provide, exchange, or verify information, answer inquiries, address issues, or resolve problems or complaints. Provides complex technical assistance to others regarding automated applications and systems. Provides instruction, guidance, or training to staff. (30%)
  • Gathers and/or analyzes financial data for information and/or reporting purposes. (30%)
  • Assist in analysis of business processes to implement more effective and efficient operations. (10%)
  • Serves as liaison for assigned area on complex issues with agency staff or outside entities. Represents assigned area at planning sessions, committees, workgroups, meetings, conferences, or hearings to address significant issues. (5%)
