About The Position

This position requires independent and innovative judgment. This position recommends operational policies and assists in the establishment of procedures, as required, to implement policies, achieve operational objectives, or resolve operational problems. Requirements

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent and four (4) year of professional or nonprofessional accounting experience; or A bachelor's degree (4 years) from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • Requires possession of a valid driver license.

Responsibilities

  • Manages, directs, plans, organizes, and participates in all general business, accounting and budget activities relating to the Rural and Family Lands Protection Program. Performs fiscal, purchasing, and statistical reporting and provides input and recommendations for budget preparation. Keeps abreast of changes in land acquisition programs and keeps track of all fiscal year allotments and encumbrance reports related to Rural and Family Lands. Interprets and ensures division and departmental compliance with statutory requirements and agency rules and regulations.
  • Manages, directs, plans, organizes, and participates in all general business, accounting and budget activities relating to the Land Acquisition Program. Performs fiscal, purchasing, and statistical reporting and provides input and recommendations for budget preparation. Keeps abreast of changes in Land Acquisition programs and keeps track of all fiscal year allotments and encumbrance reports related to Land. Interprets and ensures division and departmental compliance with statutory requirements and agency rules and regulations.
  • Manages, directs, plans, organizes, and participates in all general business, accounting and budget activities relating to Forest Legacy Grant Program. Performs fiscal, purchasing, and statistical reporting and provides input and recommendations for budget preparation. Keeps abreast of changes in Forest Legacy grant programs and keeps track of all fiscal year allotments and encumbrance reports related to the Legacy grant program.
  • Serves as the Divisional contact for land and hangar lease Agreements. Enters and maintains divisional Lease contracts and amendments into AIMS and works with the Department Lease Section to process and route lease agreements.
  • Performs other related duties and special assignments within the Fiscal Section.
