This position will ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial data related to the University of Florida’s construction projects. The role performs detailed reviews and reconciliations between multiple construction financial tracking systems and the University’s general ledger (GL) to identify and resolve discrepancies. Responsibilities include analyzing project expenditures, commitments, and balances; validating financial transactions; reconciling GL activity to project records; and preparing and posting corrective or clean-up journal entries as needed. The position works closely with project managers, CFO’s construction team, and other stakeholders to ensure construction-related financial information is accurate and properly recorded. In support of the University’s transition to the Workday enterprise system, this position conducts comprehensive reviews of construction project financial data to ensure consistency, accuracy, and readiness for system conversion. Responsibilities include evaluating project budgets, funding sources, and current project status to verify that financial records are complete and properly aligned across systems. The role analyzes historical and current project data, identifies data integrity issues, recommends corrective actions, and assists with the validation of information for migration into Workday. Analyze current processes and systems, research and recommend solutions to leadership, and support implementation. Review cross-functional financial practices and procedures to ensure consistency and create critical process documentation. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
