About The Position

This opportunity is in the Accounting & Finance Department. Our Accounting & Finance Department is dynamic and collaborative. Providing best-in-class service to our internal and external customers within the expected timeframes, we actively support our co-workers, clients, and community. As Accountant III, IFRS, you will play a key role in Safety National’s ongoing reporting under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). You will collaborate with internal accounting teams, external consultants, Reliance Standard Life (RSL), Delphi Financial Group (DFG), and Tokio Marine to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. In this role, you will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and consolidated reports, as well as perform internal controls, while assisting with quarterly and annual filings. You will also research emerging accounting standards, document accounting policies, recommend process improvements, and help strengthen reporting processes and internal controls. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  • 2 or more years of insurance industry or relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience preparing financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and other financial reports.
  • Ability to research accounting guidance and document accounting policies.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external business partners while managing multiple reporting deadlines.
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
