About The Position

Wood is recruiting for an Accountant II in Houston, TX to work within a Wood client office. This is a contract position with the possibility for extension. The Accountant II will be a member of the Client's Marketing Accounting team, reporting to the Marketing Accounting Supervisor. This position will be on a hybrid schedule, working in the client office Monday, Wednesday & Thursday and working from home on Tuesday and Friday. The workday is 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday-Thursday and 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Friday. Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship is required.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional accounting experience in the oil and gas industry
• An Accounting degree with a minimum of 12 completed accounting hours
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience implementing sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted problems
• Authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and experience with Endur
• Marketing accounting experience

Responsibilities

• Perform marketing accounting functions related to client domestic oil and gas properties.
• Actualize oil, gas, and NGL volumes marketed by client in Endur for integration of pricing and deduct data to the revenue department.
• Responsible for payment of transportation and cashout invoices.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts with emphasis on third-party receivables, payables, and intercompany balances.
• Communicate with revenue accounting and marketing departments to ensure proper accounting of assigned assets.
• Work on special projects as requested by management.
• Interface with multiple groups and individuals, both internal and external to client's Corporation.
